8" x 10" oil on panel, from last year. I took an online painting class offered by a friend of mine (Vanessa Lemen), detailing her process for painting portraits, and this was my result from that! Lots of building things up in more subtle, thin layers for this painting... you can see the entire step-by-step process post here on my Patreon. The person who modeled for this painting is a cool trans/NB model I met and hired for a shoot a few years ago-- you can find them here.
Original sold.

Hah! Yeah, I don't post this one much because I think anyone in SFF is going to see that influence, and it was more about the process than the final piece here. But I'm glad you think it has my voice in it, too!
I feel immensely fortunate to have the little studio room that I do. But also, it's still difficult to keep ventilated as well as I'd like, the best way I can achieve that is with a box fan pointed out the window. This sure does the trick but also quickly makes the room hot/cold... I have gotten used to sitting on a heating pad, wearing socks and multiple layers while I paint in the winter, and trying to paint from 4am-10am in the summer, whoof.
I hope you do someday get that setup you want!

Yeah, ventilation and space are my biggest issues. All my animals have super sensitive respiratory systems so I'd have to be super careful with fumes, and with how many different mediums and surfaces I use, having space for all of them is a bit of a pipe dream hahah. I'll get there eventually!
