10" x 20" oil on panel from last year. I started transitioning from digital painting to oils as my primary medium back around 2016 or so, mostly just learning from experience and developing my techniques as I went. This painting was the culmination of a lot of those techniques, and was a big test of making sure that I understood what I had learned about working with opaque pigments vs transparent pigments. I was angling for a particular warm glow when light hits the painting, which I was able to achieve!
