Mei-Hua the Guardian Kirin by  Caribou and posted by permission. I just have to share this one with all of you right away; she was only drawn today.

Mei-Hua is a kirin based on a green peacock. She is some sort of messenger and guardian for Higher Authority and strikes me as a person not to be trifled with. Not that she's evil or anything; not at all. She's just very serious and, while rather kindly in her way, doesn't have a lot of time for or understanding of nonsense.

Which is sad in a way. So in my head canon she has a certain appreciation of the ridiculous, and has some deliberately silly hobby she indulges in when she has the time. Not quite sure what. She would probably consider it silly and trivial, I might think of it as mystical or spiritual- assuming I understood it at all, earthbound creature that I am.
