Fangrim -used- to be a proper red dragon with all the marauding and destructive tendencies that go with that, but after an artifact he'd created was destroyed the backlash left him somewhat diminished. This has absolutely devastated Fagrim's self-confidence, he may now be the -best- kobold ever but that's not the same as being a dragon dammit.

He'll figure this out though, he'll totally become a dragon again someday. One of the other kobolds insists he's going through the same process ass-first. Fangrim has doubts, but he'll take any lead he can find.
