''Fire!'' by LaytheDiaperedWhiteWolf
-- Mkia was enjoying a delicious piece of meat in the safari park where he had lived all his life. However when he heard Wing; a secretary bird, and friend of his; panicked yelling: ''Fire! At the entrance of the park!'', he didn't know what he saw. A sea of fire soon came his way, and without a second thought the lion ran the other direction. Soon, Mkia found the large rusty fence that separated the safari park from the rest of the savannah. ''Wing!'' cried the lion, ''where is Dhahabu, my hippopotamus friend?'' ''Don't worry, Mkia!'' said Wing, ''stay outside! I'll look for him!'' ''Hurry up...!'' Mkia insisted, ''I'll be fine! Go!'' Wing nimbly jumped onto one of the fence posts, and worked his way back into the open field. There, behind some thin trees, he distinguished a gray unwieldy animal from the grass. ''Dhahabu!'' Wing shouted, ''over here!'' The hippopotamus approached quickly: ''Guys! Thank goodness! What happened?'' ''I'll explain later,'' said Wing, ''you think you can pull that part of the fence down somehow?'' The hippo nodded, and walked towards the fence. It was full of barbed wire, and the metal posts were firmly in the ground. ''HNNGGG...!'', Dhahabu groaned, and luckily he managed to pull the dangerous fence far down with great effort. A pair of antelopes immediately took advantage of this, and he decided to climb through it himself. Mkia came over to help, the diaper he was wearing crackled almost as loudly as the fire was crackling. ''Dhahabu!'' ''Mkia!''. With both paws, the lion dragged the much larger hippopotamus over the mess of sharp barbed wire and chunks of metal. "Ugh!" Dhahabu moaned. The sharp metal had caused a few injuries to his abdomen, right leg, and hip. Other than that, he was pretty much unharmed. Now, they both managed to escape the safari park, however they were far from safe from the fire! Mkia and Wing knew, that without help, Dhahabu wouldn't make it, so when the secretary bird returned from another rescue mission of warning a pack of giraffes and a herd of zebras, and saw the condition Mkia's friend was in, he immediately aproached them to help out. ''There's a wreck down here!'' Wing informed, ''Come on, I'll lead the way!'' Leaving Dhahabu to Wing, Mkia ran steadily along the edge of the safari park. Were there any animals left in the park that needed saving from the flames? What should he do if someone was in danger? He couldn't get Wing to do all the work, obviously, and time was ticking. Finally, Mkia saw the wreckage of a huge bus just outside the gate and between some large rocks. There, all animals including Mkia, Dhahabu and Wing, would be safe from the fire! As fast as his paws could carry him, the diapered lion ran toward the carcass...
