I never expected you to change me so suddenly. I found you just before Christmas, broken, alone, and lost. Now such little time has passed and I can't image a day without you in my life. I was crawling, lurching, and hoping to find something I had no idea I had lost. You found me as much as I had found you, and it wasn't me who carried you, it was you who carried me.

I found someone to carry me.

These short days and the short time we've been together are amazing. When I walk to find us food and you try to help by sniffing, only to return with a small stick or a muzzle full of snow, I smile. When I see you try to climb the trees like I do with your puppy claws and tail wagging I smile. When you curl up against me for something so innocent as warmth I smile. You showed me, in the purest of ways, that being together is a magical thing and something I had no idea I'd been lacking in my life. I'll always be there watching over you and I know now you'll always be watching over me.

Your paw is healed and so is mine; the broken paw of being alone on days like today when the sky is bleak and the air is cold. We were strong alone but now, together, we are unbreakable even though you're still teaching me how to let myself open up and allow someone close. I will cherish you, my darling puppy, forever as long as I live. The true gift of every Christmas, and every day with you, is that I will never be alone again.

When you can't walk you crawl, and when you can't do that, you find someone to carry you.

I'll carry you while you carry me.

This is a sequel to last year's Christmas picture ( http://www.furaffinity.net/view/3278309/ ) with the same characters. In the first picture, the bear had just found the pup with a broken arm and put a splint on it.

It's now a couple days after Christmas, and the bear's showing the pup that his arm is all healed, by going pressing paw to paw.

Also, there's two references to a certain show that kinda inspired the direction of this picture, within this picture and description. Awesome-Points for anyone who can guess it. :)
