You didn't fail you big dumby c: It's good to experiment with things as it seems you have, and I don't think using different colors outlines is a bad idea it can give it a refreshing style really. I don't use black outlines usually--aside from when I'm being lazy, I usually use a darker shade of whatever color I'm currently using. Anyway I think it looks neat =) and I commented on here because I happened to have come on XD to see if there was anything amazing in my box as far as stuff I needed to reply to and saw them here and thougth I might as well.

Yeah, that was what I was aiming for...to give it a different stylistic appeal of some sort. ^^; It was fun, minus the physical pain of enduring the time spent on the PC finishing this up.

Yeah, I think you're one of the people that inspired me to try that technique out, heh. ^^; It looked cool, so I wanted to try it out on Reign.

The toughest part was drawing his quills out to fit this style, and drawing his open shirt too from this angle especially with the collar was tough too. <_<

And yeah, drawing him in Paint was annoying. Using a mouse, no less. Used my old Reign fsjal picture as a reference for the shading too. Toughest part was trying to get the profile view right.
