For some reason I'm looking at these little bust drawings of the mother of your characters and the only thing that comes to mind is, either she's a softy around her family, or her husband is a total bad ass to tame such a mean woman as her. After that it's the famous line from Armitage the third, "a woman who can kick ass AND raise children," which pops into my head looking at this gal.
