Though first of all this is stunning. You've captured the musculature of this pose beautifully, which ones are flexed and which are loose, the slight foreshortening, sharp vs smooth shading. This is just beautiful.
Okay on to the question: did you study anywhere or were you inspired by particular artists? It's such a unique style.

Thank you! I can't take all the credit. I was looking at some poses on New Masters Academy. I can fake a figure ok, but for really convincing musculature I've got to have some kind of visual.
I went to a state school for metalsmithing, so no really formal training. I suck up information from all over the place! There might be some Durer in there, probably some influence from when I was working with walnut ink, conte, and then just a lot of sketching done by the old timey painters in red, like Raphael, DaVinci, etc. The lot of them worked in a similar medium when sketching: https://www.pinterest.com/pin/202662051952244256/
