My damned Husky once did this! I dunno wth he was thinking he'd FIND at the bottom of that pumpkin, but once he shoved his fuzzy, wide head through the hole, ALL HELL BROKE LOOSE! (I hadn't yet cut-out the eyes/nose/mouth, so he couldn't 'See' anything!)
Lost a bit of glassware and spent some time un-wrecking the house after that one!
Fond memories!
