Only the Egyptians believed that the griffin is a kind of sphinx, with the body of a lion and the head of a falcon.
4 - Minoan Griffin. Like the opinicus, the Minoan griffins were depicted entirely with a lion's body. However, there are still differences. It is the Minoan griffins that are considered the most warlike, despite their appearance. By the way, this view was served brightly colored. Moreover, almost peacock patterns were often depicted on the griffin's head.
