Here's to hoping my parents don't know about my FA account! This is their Christmas gift this year (..and my Mom gets a second gift that i will upload later..). I can't wait to give it to them. The past few years i have made them a series of cut-paper pieces, but missed making this one last year. I told them that it wouldn't be completed this year either... And now it will be a big surprise :D

'Fall' was completed the following year, but i never got a scan of it before i gave it to them (it'll show up eventually..it is one of my favorites :)

and then i was a dud for a year (hey! at least i made my brother something! ..something small.. ..though that too never made it online either... I'll have to fix that..)

But finally! The 'Spring' piece has been completed ^^
Guinea fowl were a common sight around my yard when i was growing up. In recent years, there have been new houses constructed close to their home, and seeing as guineas are superb noise-makers, my parents decided the neighbors wouldn't appreciate all the cackling. Over the past few years, our herd of plenty faded out completely (mainly by becoming roadkill on the recently-paved-but-had-been-a-low-traffic-dirt-road-before road). We all miss them. I will certainly own guineas when i have the land for them :)

I met a handful at the local zoo over this past summer, and my eyes teared up a little at how much their chirps and trills (made when they are curious or content) brought me back to my childhood.

Anyhow, things to do! Shutting up now XD
