Blair and her twin sister, Marie, grew up in a small village on the border between Britoria, the human kingdom, and Oshanar, the dark elf nation. Life was quiet, but peaceful, until a horde of zombies under the command of a necromancer swept through the village. The twins' parents were among the casualties, and they hid for days until a contingent of paladins saved them.
While Marie was taken in by a family friend, Blair expressed her desire to train with those holy warriors, to take up arms to defend the helpless, to make sure another family was never torn apart like hers was.
When Blair was at last knighted, she swore she would uphold their code and live an honorable life. She and Marie, who had come into her own as a swordswoman, often worked together on assignments to slay undead. This would end when they were called to battle against a massive horde. The struggling army was overrun and forced to retreat, Blair among them, but her sister's body was never found, and she was feared lost to the undead.
Blair became more committed than ever to her duties as a paladin, burying her grief under a quiet but gentle facade. The commonfolk saw paladins like her as unshakable paragons of strength, after all. Then she met Thray and Belinda during another assignment. She welcomed their company as they traveled together... Then they found that Marie was alive. Well, "alive" in that she'd become a death knight in service to the same necromancer who wiped out their village.
Blair was filled with a righteous vengeance the likes of which she'd never felt as she struck him down and freed Marie. Afterwards, Thray and Belinda poked and prodded her to open up, and the wall Blair had built around her heart came crashing down as she bared her doubts and regrets to them, crying for the first time in years.
After this, Belinda invited Blair to come live in the Garden. Finding the small but growing community to her liking, Blair decided to pledge herself to Basit and become a member of their fledgling police force. But if you know Basit, well... Let's say Blair was VERY surprised by what her initiation involved, but there was nothing in her paladin code that said she couldn't have a lover. Her first child, Alexander, was born shortly as a result.
At some point afterwards, Blair had come to realize that she had fallen in love with Belinda after all the time they'd spent together and confessed her feelings to the dragon. She would have her second child, Cynthia, with hir, and the pair eventually married, taking their honeymoon in Britoria.

This one was LONG overdue, but it was well worth the wait to get it drawn. New and improved ref of Blair, drawn by
