Assumptions are a dangerous thing.
A relic from old times, made to control one of the creation trio from their sudden wrath, made from a trio of pixies inhabiting the sacred lakes. The Red Chain.
In the face of someone whose DNA has been merged with one of the latter, a resisting group thought of using it. Surely, it would help quell their powers, or maybe even nullify them. That was the plan, to put a wrench in their plans...
And, well, it did... in the worst way possible.
Because indeed, they aren't in much a state to follow any elaborate plan. Unfortunately, the gems reacted positively to the hybrid's latent power. Instead of restriction, it amplified it. Creating a sea of power, that swallowed the cat's mind, whose thoughts now only consisted of primal instincts.
