"Piece of utter crap?" I don't think so. 8(
I think you did a nice job coloring this. If I were to be critical on this one, though, I would say that the shading on Lily's hair would need to be worked on. The shading for the streaks need to be thinner, and would need a bit more detail than just four strokes. Also, most of the shading looks rather flat in this picture. Try improving the shading so that the shapes in each part of the picture have more definition to them. There are some examples in my gallery like "Kirby of the iScribble," "Sunny Days," "#026," and much more you can look at. Notice how the shading on the subject(s) really pays attention to the shapes of certain parts. If you look at the shapes of drawings in 3D, chances are your pictures will come to life more. Be sure to shade in details on the clothes too, like folds. Especially with the Christmas tree, try shading under certain parts of the tree if something is above them, including the leaves.
