All in all, he's, of course, Australian, but in the futuristic world he inhabits, his homeland soon becomes barely hospitable, forcing many families, including his, to emigrate to other continents. They end up in central Europe, where he - a teenager at the time - meets Tau the canine, who'd eventually become his high school pal along with Khan, a spinosaurus. The three eventually form a small friend group with Chiron and another, as of now unnamed, kudu friend, that - prompted by the canine's suggestion (he's very convincing, played electric guitar by then, and was dying to put it to good use) end up founding the band they named the Syndicate. Scott was one of the members that had to learn their instrument from scratch, but it definitely benefited the 'roo, becoming his newfound passion and a reason to see some value in himself. He's a little immature, in a harmless way; awkward and struggling to interact with his peers a little in spite of his openness, to the point he may seem shy, when he's definitely not. I'd attribute that one to such a drastic change in environment he was forced to go through.
