You don't immediately realize the danger of putting on the black shirt when it warms, mistaking for it simply being better compared to the cold halls. That changes when it melts, sticking to your skin as you try to pull it off in rising panic. It melds with the shorts you woke up in, and a squeal escapes you unbidden as both in turn melts with your skin, a tail sprouting from above your butt.
You try to look back at your new limb, finding yourself falling and your legs bending into some sort of paws. Your vision spins for a moment before it settles again, your clothing turned slime having changed once more, this time into long fur. You go cross-eyed, looking down when you notice some sort of muzzle sprouting from your face.
Your ears twitch, a strange feeling, and you wrinkle your new pink nose as patches of white form with a squelch. You can't recall why you had been avoiding becoming like this before now, and dismiss it as unimportant, starting to clean your new fur like the cat you are.
