Sketch for CrizBN's Octransfur from last month. One of the first things I did on this account was I was helping out with developing a Link's Awakening romhack to put Bunny Link in the game. We ran into some technical difficulties and didn't have the tools at the time to overcome them. While trying to plan around the issue and see if any proper tools we could use did exist and we just didn't notice them, the project just sort of slowly fizzled and I began to have second thoughts on whether anything would really be added by this. It was inspired by a romhack of LttP after all, and despite the simplistic nature of it that hack really had a whole extra unspoken narrative built into the subtext that ended pretty satisfyingly and already hit just about every note we could have in this hack. I was worried this would just be a sequel for the sake of a sequel. You know, like Hollywood likes to make when they're not doing remakes and reboots. Ew. And now there's an actual remake for Link's Awakening on Switch. Man, how time flies.
