Wrenfall Dander is one of the mall Venture's local shysters. Xe runs a place called Copycat, which produces forgeries high quality replicas of pretty much, including magic items! Xe's extremely talented at replication, although magical items are a bit temperamental, and aren't always 1:1 on their effect. Of course since that's the magic's fault, you can't blame xir for anything acting outside of how you expected. Not above using people as material and putting them on display if they try to get one up on xir.
Outside of xir store, xe's usually not stopping looking for a quick buck to make off of somebody else, or at least somebody who'll agree to do a quick favor. Xe will collect on that favor, and you will find it hard to refuse once you've agreed. Everybody's a potential sucker out there. But maybe if you seem nice xe'll go easy on you.
Xe argues hard with the mall whenever xir store is separated from Stitches, the tailor shop xir girlfriend Evelyn runs, and is usually right next door. Evelyn's stoic demeanor and general responsibility generally helps Wren keep from getting into too much trouble. Y'know. Relatively. Evelyn also has some fun skills with stitching fabric and exotic materials into bodies, which Wren asks to have changed up every now and then for aesthetic purposes.
Wren almost never takes off the gloves. Had to catch xir at the pool for this. For one thing, xir paws are kinda stubby, and xe does a lot of work that requires dextrous manipulation. The gloves, obviously, are not a perfect match to xir hands and give Wren the dexterity xe needs for xir work. Another thing is that xe's just a bit embarrassed by them. There was a bit of a stigma back home against having beast blood, with a certain amount being deemed 'acceptable' by society (if barely). The mall is filled with enough weirdos that obviously nobody would blink an eye at xir paws, but old habits die hard. At least the gloves and boots are practica.
and to be clear the deck was not in xir favor back in xir homeworld, but scamming people out of all their money did strongly contribute to why xe was not particularly welcomed any more
