I was curious how the body control sharing/feeling works. Do they only feel and control their own half or do they share feeling (and control)?

They only have the control and the feeling of their own side of body, and this bring some good and awkward moments c:, their intuition of how to work together is going pretty well indeed

You've got me thinking how some kind of snow-boot/glove could work... like rubber gauntlets.

Oh, it should work pretty well, but it have to be comfortable and flexible, maybe leather gloves….
But yeah, rubber gauntlet would work in many ways c:
