I drew this work at the beginning of this year. It was made specifically for the ZIN red book.
In the picture you see a Nubian ibex, I really like their huge horns, and unfortunately they are on the verge of extinction :(
Here is a little reference for you, you might be interested in reading
Nubian ibex are 65–75 cm (2.1–2.6 ft) tall at the shoulder and weigh about 50 kg (110 lb). They are light brown in color with a white underbelly; males also have a dark brown dorsal stripe. Nubian ibex have long and thin horns that rise up and then back and down. In males, they reach about 1 m in length, while in females they are much smaller (about 30 cm (12 in))
The Nubian ibex lives in harsh, dry, mountainous terrain where it feeds mainly on grasses and leaves and is preyed upon by leopards, wolves, common foxes, eagles, and bearded vultures. They are social, and herds tend to be made up of females, young, and males under three years of age. Males are solitary or form more transient flocks of up to eight individuals. During the breeding season, males join the female herds for a 6-8 week race. Large males then fight, often clanging their horns.
Nubian ibex are diurnal, which means they are active during the day and rest at night. On March 16, 1959, the British established the Yob Game Reserve in northern Eritrea specifically to protect the significant Nubian ibex populations in the area.
The International Union for Conservation of Nature has classified the Nubian ibex as "Vulnerable" on the basis that fewer than 10,000 adults remain and the population is declining. Threats the animal faces include competition from livestock for water and feed, pressure to hunt, and habitat destruction.
