Exothropeans are only fertile during their annual mating season which lasts a couple weeks, it's sort of like a heat/rut type deal. They're gravid for a month then lay thier egg and after 12 months the egg hatches.
Being gynandromorphs both parents each have an egg so there's almost always 2 babies (unless there's twins, or a stillbirth, Etc.)
When they do the deed they lock together kinda like how snails do and they lay their eggs though their tentacles similar to how spotted hyenas give birth.
Judas is very much in the dark about all of that (and most things about his species in general) since he was a little kid when he got left on earth, he isn't even aware of how his species mates and learned to do it the "earthling way" without knowing any better assuming that must be the way to do it. He never experienced his seasons since they only go through it if they're around someone they can reproduce with, and Judas and earthlings just aren't compatible for producing life.
That being said though Judas learns the hard way that him and Percedal are somehow compatible. They don't keep thier eggs and it's really fucked up but they eat them whenever they lay one lmao. Judas would be a terrible parent and hates kids/doesn't want one in general.
