Daryl Sil Pep, my Star Wars Saga Edition character from a game over a decade ago, was one of the few younglings to successfully flee the Jedi Purge and stow away on a freighter to Alderaan. Haunted by the memories of her fallen brethren, she rejected her Jedi upbringing and grew up just trying to get by as the galaxy around her fell under the Empire's sway.

Until she and others on a random outpost found themselves recruited by Bail Organa's resistance movement (bear in mind, Dawn of Defiance was set before the Rebel Alliance had formed, or at least before Bail Organa's assets had joined up). As they did their part for the resistance, fighting the Empire, foiling their plans, and meeting fellow Jedi survivors, Daryl came to realize that she didn't need to reject the Jedi ways, but she did need to examine them. Were they, as her eight-year-old mind had then latched onto, the downfall of the order? Was there nuance to be found?

Alas, while the game was one of the longest-lasting I've ever played, it still fell apart before we ever got to the end (scheduling conflicts, the eternal thorn in all RPG groups), so we'll never know.
