Yonin is a young female tal-vashoth who lives in Ferelden, as the only child of Qunari exiles. Years of fighting undead, bandits and Ferelden's vicious wildlife has made Yonin incredibly skilled in combat, her immense natural strength adding a potent edge to her skill.

Yonin works as a mercenary, though prefers taking her payment from the creatures and enemies she slays. Her friendliness, honesty and honor make her popular among those she interacts with and is willing to befriend and converse with anything sentient. Although usually open-minded and friendly, she finds most Orlesian's insufferable and won't hesitate to tell them or use intimidation and threats if they agitate her.

Yonin shares her mother's lofty ambition for qunari, humans, elves and dwarves to all get along. Acting as her mother's enforcer, Yonin happily takes in anyone who asks and won't hesitate to kill to protect innocent people.
