Work has still been draining most of my time and energy, so here is another revision of one my old concepts, the SMA Armadillo. A full sized hybrid truck.

Revised specs:
____________________________________________________________________________________________
Powertrain:
A single longitudinally mounted gas turbine rated up to 215hp and five electric motors. Four of the motors rated at 65hp each are geared to the drive axels while one 35hp electric motor is incorporated into the Motor Generator Transmission Package (MGTP) just behind the front axle. The gas turbine can power all wheels directly or provide additional electricity to the batteries through the MGTP. All three differentials are open with the electric motors providing the appropriate amount of resistance to replicate limited slip differentials in low traction situations.
Curb weight: 5600lbs/ 2540kgs
0-60mph/0-100kph: 6 sec
Top speed: Electronically limited to 136mph/ 219kph
Three power/drive modes:
Economy- The turbine primarily acts as a range extender, switching off when possible and trickling in electricity at a constant rpm.
Sport- The turbine spools up or down depending on the throttle position, more similar to a conventional engine.
Standard/ Auto- The car will automatically transition between Economy and Sport modes to provide a balance of efficiency and intuitive response.
Other notable features:
Adaptive suspension- Originally developed from the Dragon, cameras continuously scan in front of the car to detect oncoming hazards as well as scan the condition of the road ahead to give the suspension time to adjust to the changing conditions. Radar sensors mounted just in front of each wheel provide short range, high speed, high precision feed back of the ground just before contacting the wheel.
Fully customizable experience- many features in the Armadillo such as the suspension, power consumption modes, and driving behavior can be customized and stored through the car's entertainment console. Quick memory buttons can switch between each user's preferences or set the car back to its default settings.
Portal Axels- Rather than the axels directly connecting to the wheel hubs. A small gearbox connects each drive axel to to the hubs resulting in the axels sitting higher than the center of the wheels. The result is improved ground clearance and improved aerodynamics with the axels tucked further into the body.
