Maximus was invited to spend the night at Philip's place. To his surprise, the seal-taur did not have a bed. "It'd take a King size and-a-half to fit all this," Philip explained, "and that's before we consider weight."

While the taur did have a mattress in his room, a late night playing video games and snacking left the two so tired that they decided to bed down in the living room. The wolf dragon took to the couch, but forgot to ask for a blanket. Max hoped not to disturb his friend, so he had to come up with his own idea.

Rather than shiver on the couch all night, Maximus crept beside the sleeping taur. All that fat of his should radiate some heat, he justified, scooting closer and closer to the heavy seal's side. The wolf dragon got too close, and rubbed the sensitive skin of Philip's belly, causing the great beast to roll over. Maximus scrambled, but was not fast enough to get away from the fat wave suddenly rolling over him.

In seconds, Maximus was only visible as a head poking out from under Philip's blubber. At the very least, Maximus was now in a warm and cozy spot, if a bit heavy.
