How you look or act doesn't matter. If you make it seem to other people that you have every reason in the world to act or appear as you do, you've taken the first step towards being cool. The next step is making every effort to make it look like you don't care about anything and spending hours in bed making your hair look just right.

There's actually a dichotomy between "cools" out there. For example there is the "nice cool" and the "nasty cool." I think there's much more skill involved in achieving "nice cool." But that's just me :p
