"Well we didn't miss much. This is enough to get us back to that town...IF we actually ration this time." Said a rather hefty blue bird to his goat monster companion. from the time they've left the vault they didn't take long to find a lucky jackpot of food supplies. A Super Duper Mart that was shockingly still filled with food! Thhough there were a few raiders there they had to fight, they managed to leave with a very impressive haul. It would have been enough to let them back in the vault already if they hadn't eaten most of it heading back. It seems the scope of their hunger issues had been more than they expected. By the time they returned to the store to scavenge anything they had missed, they'd nearly doubled in side. Certainly more than they should have even with the piles of food containers they'd left in their wake. With a new heft to their step and a wobble to their guts, they'd raided enough remaining food to sate themselves for a bit.
"Still, shouldn't be too much of an issue to find more. Didn't take us long to get a lot of food! Maybe next time we get a good haul we should just not eat anything, deal with the hunger pangs. Considering how much blubber we've packed on I doubt we'll starve." Desmond reasoned, giving his gut a shake. After the initial shock and realization of how fast they were putting on weight, Desmond calmed down and simply accepted the situation. He'd seen crazier things happen, some he'd deny was his fault. They'd end up fine.
"I dunno how easy that'll be Desmond. you know how bad I am at self control. You don't seem to be good at it either." Said Asibow, the goat having gained just as much weight. She took another sip from her cold Nuka Cola Quantum. "I gotta wonder though, we're getting big pretty quickly...you think we absorb radiation by turning it into calories? I mean a lot of this food is irradiated, yet my counter hasn't gone up an inch. Our waistlines sure have though. Heh, maybe our biggest threat from radiation is just losing the ability to fit into the vault by the time we get back."
