He roams in darkness and despite his charged whips...many don't notice until it's too late due to the "Dark Energy" he charges his whips with emitting a black glow that blends in with the shadows he stalks. V has no known relatives, friends, or acquaintances...or at least any that won't come out publicly to shed some light on the elusive fox.

With only his interesting reputation speaking for him those who WILLINGLY seek out V are only one of two people...
