Yoko made her way inside Sasha’s office, as Sasha herself made her way in, closing the door behind her. Looking around the office, Yoko noticed that there weren’t any personal items located anywhere in the office. All that was here was just a large computer desk with a monitor on the side, and a computer chair. But before she could question why the room was bareboned, Sasha took a seat on her chair, ready to get down to business.
Sasha: Glad we could talk one on one without anyone around.
Yoko: Yeah. But, why do we need to talk alone?
Sasha: That’s because of the question I wanted to ask. And I wanted to talk to you about it alone so nobody who still has to audition hears us.
Yoko: That makes sense.
Sasha: Now then. For my question, I wanted to ask you. Even though you had your friend with you when we first met, you decided to go and audition on your own. Everyone else who I have seen audition today, all have gone on and performed with a partner or in a group. And do you know why everyone had done this?
Yoko: If I had to guess, it’s because the more people there are in a team, the attention would be divided.
Sasha: Exactly. And that increases the chances of the group getting a green light because the one watching the performance may be focused on someone when another may slip-up without being noticed. But going alone, all of the attention is on the single person.
Yoko: And one slip-up would easily be seen and would become a factor.
Sasha: Correct again. Which comes to my question. Why did you choose to perform alone?
Hearing this question, Yoko knew exactly why she chose to perform alone. Taking in a deep breath, Yoko gave her answer.
Yoko: I performed alone because this wasn’t just to audition and get this job. This was also a chance to redeem myself. To show that I am good enough to be one of the bunny girls here. To prove that I can stand on my own to feet. But above all else, it was to give myself a second chance. A second chance to make amends, and set things right.
Sasha took in everything Yoko had told her, only nodding as she had her eyes closed. But after a few seconds, Sasha looked at Yoko, as she stood up from her seat.
Sasha: You know something? You’re the only one who I have heard from today who was truly sincere about what they said. You answered with absolute conviction, and meant every word you told me. Not to mention your performance. Seeing you up there singing and dancing on that stage, I could see you truly were giving it everything you had, like that performance wasn’t just for a job, but something more. And from what you said to me here, it looks like I was right.
Yoko: So, what does my answer to you and being here all mean?
Sasha: Well, that part is simple. It all means that at the end of today, you succeeded at what you were aiming for today.
Yoko: Wait! You mean?!
Sasha: Congratulations, Yoko! Welcome to the Club Bunny family!
With those words being said, Yoko couldn’t believe it, as a wide smile appeared on her face. Taking Sasha’s hand, she shook it in happiness and excitement. After everything she had gone through being turned down the first time and running away, she felt a weight lift off her shoulders.
Yoko: Thank you so much, Sasha! You don’t know how much it means to me to hear this!
Sasha: Well, I’m really glad to be the one to tell you. You really worked hard to get the job, and you deserve that effort to paying off with this.
Yoko: Thank you, Sasha.
Sasha: You’re most welcome. You can head back out and wait for your friend in the hall. But I will be seeing you next week since I’ll be your manager.
Yoko: See you then, Sasha.
