Right before the start of the 7th Era, a planetary level threat was defeated. The battle had left many scars across Ephalon, it's varied continents, the differing states, and ultimately in everyone's psyche. However, the actions hadn't gone unnoticed.

After this event, the different species and cultures came together and started to refer to themselves as Ephalonions, finally united under the banner of a broader goal.

Once this Era of prosperity came into full swing, Ephalon was visited by extra-terrestrials, known as the Trellion. This species specifically travelled to this planet in order to thank them for defeating the horrid entity which had plagued the universe, devouring numerous planets in its wake. After sharing technology and information about other space faring races, Ephalon finally became part of the larger galactic community.

In the latter years of the 7th Era, Ephalon unlocked FTL travel, bringing them into the 8th Era, the Era of Exploration. The universe was now theirs to explore.
