Recently I thought it might be fun to get a more realistic depiction of Olexa Vrane. Normally she appears with stylized, cartoonish, or otherwise abstracted heads that look more human than equine. So I thought it would be worthwhile to explore what an actual horse-headed version of her would be like. I think it looks kind of cool, what do you all think?
Despite her busy schedule, Olexa would occasionally find the time to sit for a painting that had been in the works for weeks now. The artist was certainly up to the task, but having to sit for a painting proved to be rather time consuming. She wished that there was a better way to capture the look of something permanently so that a living person wouldn't have to sit for hours and hours for a painting. But perhaps that would be an invention for another time and another age.
