Every year since 1991, the Chicago Transit Authority has run a Holiday Train, decked out in lights and other Christmas decorations, on some runs including a Santa sleigh on a flatcar. Even the interior is decked out with wreaths, garland and lights. It tours the CTA 'L' system on all lines and all stations from just after Thanksgiving until December 23rd, when I caught it here at the Dempster St station on the Skokie Swift Yellow Line.
