My college's theater company is putting on a stage adaptation of my favorite holiday movie, "A Christmas Story", for the holiday season this year, like they also did in 2018 (and they again brought me on board to provide the proper music, sound effects, and period Christmas songs for the pre-show and intermission, like they did back then as well). Since they were also in the parade, my friend the theater director wanted me to stop by the float before the parade started, and they were all pleased to see me (and of course I just had to hug kid playing Ralphie in his pink bunny pajamas!)
