Weaknesses: While Nick’s powers are quite powerful their dangerous and unpredictable, especially in densely populated areas. Along with this Nick’s powers are extremely draining on his body, meaning he can only use them for a limited amount of time before he’ll need to stop, or else he’ll risk passing out from exhaustion.

Personality: Nick is a rather stoic person who doesn't care for showing any feelings as he believes expressing his thoughts would be pointless, he can’t stand being in the spotlight and goes out of his way to avoid it at all costs. And while Nick despises the fame that comes with being a superhero he does enjoy helping others, and his teammates (even though he’d never admit it out loud)

Background: Nick lived a rather uneventful life with his workaholic father. For several years they’d both go through their usual daily routine without any problem until Nick began to notice something strange about his father’s behavior. He spotted several unexplained injuries including minor burns, his father would arrive home exhausted barely even being able to walk.

After several days of witnessing this Nick confronted his father who denied any suspicious behavior on his part. Unsatisfied by this Nick began to monitor his father even going as far as to skip college in order to watch his dad. And soon enough the teen finally got his answer. His father was a superhero, specifically the famous hero Ignite.

Nick immediately confronted his father, at first, the man tried to deny everything claiming that he was only dressing up for a side job, but Nick wasn’t buying it. Knowing there wasn’t any way out of this Nick’s father confessed to everything. For years the man had been hiding his powers in the hopes that he could keep them from him. For generations, each male in the family would be gifted with powers and take up the mantle, these powers would be passed down from one generation to another.

Nick’s father never wanted to pass this burden on him, so he chose to keep it a secret and continue being a superhero long into his life, but as the years went on the man found himself struggling to go on, his body was growing weaker and his powers less effective as time went on, till now where he can barely last more then a couple of hours before giving out altogether.

Hearing this Nick didn’t know what to think. He wanted to believe that this was some kind of dumb joke, but he knew it was all true. Knowing that there was no way his father could continue with this Nick decided that it was time for him to take up this responsibility. And begrudgingly his father passed his powers over to his son giving him the name Ignite and continuing the family tradition.
