To them, their history and backstory is irrelevant to their current situation.
Born naturally from the depths of space, Rabid grew up comfortably among aliens like themself, other inorganic shapeshifters known as Hisvashi. The high levels of cosmic radiation kept them sated, and they did not need to devour everything in sight to stay alive. A stray rift-hopper passed through their home, and the young curious Rabid stepped through, falling through to the planet ����. They were eventually discovered, after months of solitude and eating whatever they could, by a group of biologists doing a field study. Nowadays they wander the planet's surface, distantly tailed by these biologists every now and then. 

Rabid is completely and perfectly capable of speech and interaction with humankind. However, they simply cannot speak verbal human language, and come off more like an animal as a result; they can communicate through sign language, though. Rabid has a shy, yet curious demeanor, silently stalking the thing they are currently learning about. They have poor eyesight so they lick things to learn about them. 

They don't actually know why they are here in Cier. Due to the unfamiliarity of the world, Rabid is both defensive and aggressive to strangers, and completely unsociable. With any friends or acquaintances they may make, they're on the calmer end of the spectrum and willing to approach and attempt to socialize with these people.

Their real name is Nugri, but they prefer to be called Rabid as it was a nickname someone gave them many years ago.
