On the Grid
I had fun doing some Tron fanart a little bit back (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/3798902/), and while I'm not at all displeased with how it came out, it left me wondering if I couldn't do better if I had another go at it. And then of course I recently saw Tron: Legacy and really really enjoyed it. I thought it'd be fun to try again, and this time take more direct inspiration from the look of Legacy. So here we've got another digital Dorey, sporting a new look. Call it an upgrade.
I want an outfit like this! I want those glasses. AND I WANT GLOWING PAWPADS.
Oh yeah, and because I'm a total geek I brought my car into the Grid to wriggle in yet more fanart of that too. ^^ The idea of making key features on it glowy like that wouldn't leave me alone. Like a few previous drawings I started this one out by using a photograph of myself standing beside my car for guidence.
And yes, I was listening to the Tron: Legacy soundtrack obsessively while drawing this. 'Cause it's awesome.

*grins and squees* So glad you like! Yeah the soundtrack even all on its own without the movie is great for that, so many fun images come to mind. Not sure if more Tron fanart will happen from me in the future, but I wouldn't rule it out anyway! At least once I finish the other items on my to do list.
First thing that jumps out at me is I WANT GLOWING PAWPADS. haha. X3 What a great awesome cool artwork! The car looks great, even better is the way you're looking off and away, there's something very cool about that, and the suit, and the glowy tansparent wings! Wheehee, is fun to look at it all cx
Glowing pawpads would be awesome and you know it. ^..^ Hee, I very glad you like! Yeah I liked how the pose and all came out, was sorta a hard angle to get the muzzle looking right but I think I kinda pulled it off at least a bit. I had fun drawing it! I just love that glowy look so much. ^^ More things should glow.
O'course I know it! I'll never step on Lego carpetmines again! X3 And guess what, *I* just saw Tron Legacy recently too, so I has inclination to make some art! When... I'm not lazy *facepaws* but I assure you I do XD and NOW, I can appreciate even more and enjoy your arts that much more--and I know what those fine lines and that fuzzy diamond thing is. ;) And... man what a movie and kinda deep world it was.
Yay! Eager to see what ya come up with! :) Yeah, the whole mythology and depth of the Tron world is really captivating and inspiring I think. The art style just begs to be played with, and you get the sense of what a deep world is there in the background that makes you want to imagine so much more about it.
