You struggle against the kelp as you sink deeper, water stinging your eyes and burning against your throat as it tries to enter your lungs. They wrap around your limbs, dragging you farther down even as they slide into your flesh, staining your body green.
Something sprouts from your head, maw stretching from your face as you kick. Your skin feels squishy and slimy, the goo spreading farther and farther the more you struggle to break free. You try to kick at it, several of the plants tearing and turning to lashing tails as your new ears pin against your head. You're still trapped, but at least you can breathe again....
