"How could things have gone so wrong?" the minotaur known only as Runescar said to himself as he downed another ale in a seedy bar on Dredgestone's bad side. He didn't mean to lash out at Brogan, but the foolish young bull just wouldn't leave him alone, asking him about his rune marks. His harsh words were one thing, punching him ascross the muzzle went too far. He wondered how he could make it up to Brogan.

After all, Brogan was the reason Runescar no longer had to be thought of as a slave.
