Yeah I REALLY like this page. just look at panels 7 and 8!!! That's all the reason I need. Heck Panel 1 is probably the best human I've drawn period, JUST LOOK AT THE CHEEK DETAIL!!
For anyone that's followed me in the past, you know exactly who just joined the fight. For those who don't allow me to explain:
Moshtier's the main character of a comic I used to write. Big macro dragon, Red scales, tanned color underbelly and lower jaw, Dark tan Hair, Black wing membranes and so on. He's been gone for a while but I decided to let him come back, because I needed a battling partner!
Yeah the Bad guy gets away and I seem to have blacked out at the end of all this. I was initially going to have the pencil heal me as well... but that's a bit much. So I pass out from Blood loss. Pretty good way to end a chapter.
I don't think I'm near the second stage of this, I've only JUST gotten my fighting partner, don't even start with other stuff. I'm going to be keeping Moshtier at his giant size which is only 40 feet or so. He's not THAT big, at least not compared to some of the other guys that are fighting.
Thank Bubblewolf for the dragon's kickbutt shading and facial definition.

Expressive faces are expressive. I mean, holy crap. The human faces are one thing, but you actually managed to make a monstrous looking head NOT look cartoonish, yet NOT make it look feral. This is something I don't see often, even in this fandom.
You're definitely one for detail though. The hands, the faces...all I can think of is the stuff you drew up two-three years ago, and how it has come leaps and bounds with stuff like this. It's crazy. Looking forward to you progressing with integrating more tweaks as you further define your work and your general style.

I will admit I got lucky on the first panel with Moshtier. I was just sketching out the page and BANG! there it was, the perfect head for him. But I didn't get COMPLETELY LUCKY! I did study Bubblewolf's style and keep in mind what I'd already learnt. the lines just clicked in that right way : D
But yeah I've always thought I drew my character with too much of a Toony Flavor to them. I really hated that about my older pieces. They looked so damn childish!! UGH...
Detail's always been what I loved. It's always fun to bunker down and sketch but when it gets to detail I get to feel like a real artist. I only JUST got hand theory down, faces were something I'd been working on from the onset. You'd be amazed at how many sketches I've got of myself from varying angles. I don't think it's crazy to be at this level after 2-3 years, I still rely too much on value gradients that are far too dark and my flexibility with the human form is still too limited.
Thank you Solii for the kind words.

The Story board took at least 4 rounds of revision before I got it right. The sketching took me probably half an hour and then the overall page took me like 4 hours of work. Half of that was spent working on Moshtier's shading.
XD Now not to mention the hours of studying Bubblewolf to get this hahahahaha
