I've wanted to do a dressed down version of this piece for a while~

and the only way to stay above the waves to is to stand tall
(but the weight of your words is pulling you down)
and the end of the dream is the end of us all
But the water's climbing faster than your legs will heed your call
(And the only way out is holding your breath)
If you're losing your way then you're already gone
Need to find a way to get back to wherever you came from
(But the way to get home is deep in the dark)
In the blink of an eye we could all disappear
Then the only scary thing that's left to conquer is your fear
(Could you face it alone if I needed you here?)

And all the world was here for you
all the voices lost to the dark
We once were whole, we broke apart
Maybe this was meant to be from the start

Now I've been dreaming of a sky
An endless sea of light
But I only see your star
I don't want to be alone
You're ever in my mind
For that's just the way you are

And then the time will come when I
am made to face the end on my own
If you were here I'd face it all
You'd let me know that I am not alone
