A certain Pokemon who is frustrated about some... stuff.
Yes, I DID make Arceus inferior to the old generations' Pokemon. But well, let's take this into account.
In more than three continents, Mew, Ho-oh, and Lugia are the supreme Legendary Pokemon and there are tons of signs pointing out to it too. They also often intervene and their godly nature is more than obvious.
On another hand, we have Arceus, who came out of absolutely NOWHERE, who is worshipped on a huge total of one, isolated continent, and who has left almost no signs that he ever did anything to begin with. Unlike the other Legendary Pokemon, his title as "God of Pokemon" is more than debatable. Finally, ungodly stats or not, even with the release of D/P, in terms of plot, Mew and Mewtwo remain THE most powerful of all Pokemon, mortal and immortal.
... thus, such is why I'm using this theory for Arceus.
You are free to agree or not with my theory but well, it's what it is... and due to the nature of Pokemon's canon, we will end with five thousands interpretations of Arceus anyway so feel free to think what you will of my theory.

The "fangirl Pokemon" is Shaymin, the most powerful Pokemon next to Arceus in the D/P generation. Shaymin is the "Gratitude Pokemon". Gratitude toward who? Arceus.
Thus, making her into the "fangirl Pokemon" was obvious. I mean... it's a Legendary Pokemon whose sole goal in life is to worship Arceus...
