An off-brand Star Trek(-ish) story inspired by this picture posted by
sabrina-taur, where we follow the crew of misfits of the starship Pioneer on their first mission under their new captain, Cob "Cupcake" Ceigh, a hedsentale by 
vixthefox (or more accurately, an alternate universe version of them as an alien Hedseon species, as displayed on the original picture). They are new in their position, and have a bit of trouble showing their playful nature to the rest of the crew on this first mission. Will the rest of the crew make it easier to put them at ease? And what is up with this strange planet that seemed to have appeared out of nowhere? Our new captain will be tested for sure on their first mission...
More stories may follow in the future when I have inspiration again :D
(And yes, I'm a fan of Star Trek, if you haven't noticed it while reading the story)
