So in looking through an encyclopedia of cartoon/comic strip animals I saw the cover of Walter Lantz's Space Mouse, a superhero comic from 1960. You can see the original at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Space_Mouse#Walter_Lantz'_Space_Mouse_comic_book_and_cartoon_character_(1960) and while I didn't have any detailed pictures to copy from, I could make up my own Space Mouse, couldn't I? And here's the result. Anyway, check out how much detail there is not in that cratered landscape background. I am getting so lazy with these but in, I think, an instructional way.
