Sometimes Lottie gets overwhelmed. Her shop can be a lot to run all by herself. Dont get her wrong, she loves her life in the country. The same faces, the wonderful customers. Its just a bit overwhelming at times. When this happens Lottie escapes to the city. Her family had a lot of little places tucked away. It helped when they were hunting for relics or other cursed objects to have a permanent place of resting.
It had been a bad week for Lottie and she needed that escape. So she shut the shop down, informed her bestie Khaos where she was going and headed out. The city was different and wonderful in ways that her little town wasn't. The bright lights, the amazing sounds and sights. The smell ... was a mixed bag but some was pleasant. Buildings that towered and soared into the sky like giants.
Heading into her apartment she closed the door and exhaled. Peace. It was peace she felt. The fact that she could hear the rain starting up soothed her even more. She dropped all her luggage and moved to the large glass windows, sliding them back. She didn't bother with lights. The ambience and light from many of her magical plants putting enough out that she could see what she needed. At this height the sound of vehicles vanished, the rain slapping across the glass music to her ears.
She settled down onto the lip of the building, tipping her head back. The soft glow of the lights from the neighboring buildings turning the night into a painting. This was all she wanted, all she craved. Peace. She could be alone and feel okay with moments like this.
This picture is astounding. I will very much be commissioning this artist again.
