A short gift, one of hopefully many for xmas (likely to done in January xd), for the wonderful
Flintox. The premise behind the story is credited to Flint, but it wa a funny scene that I was happy to write.
Plot:
The wolf awoke for his morning jog, greeting the sun with a hopeful smile. All the more reason to test out his new sneakers, but little did he know of who would come with it.
Tossing and turning across the foam surface the maned wolf awoke from his slumber with a yawn. Flint's eyelids parted to welcome the surroundings of his newly established bedroom. Looking past the red blanket to the darkened cavern past his toes, and upwards to the oval shaped entrance hanging above. Through the night he did everything to avoid rolling into the fabric walls around, whilst ensuring he was visible to the world above. Yet, the room's light bulb above was not a pleasant sight for the exhausted canine.
Refusing to accept the light above, Flint tugged the red blanket overhead, and returned his head onto the cushiony black floor. However, his coffee brown fur ears were refused sanctuary under the covers. A sigh left his dark chocolate furred snout, whilst a tongue tried to lick away Flint's morning breath. Those tiny claw tips wrapped around the blankets fibres with a tug and a pull as he waited for Mister Sandman to pay a visit. With content, Flint sluggishly began to close his eyelids once more, until a faint thump disturbed his journey to dreamland.
Divorcing his head from the foamy floor, the maned wolf twitched at the muffled vibrations. Sitting upwards, Flint focused his senses on the tiny jolts that rippled underneath his rump. Those distant thoom's rattled the little canine who wrapped the red blanket around him. The tremors were not alien to Flint, but in fact all too familiar in rhythmic intervals and intensity. He was awake. Flint's larger friend was awake and had already decided to part ways with his building high bed.
Overshadowing those growing thumps was Flint's own heartbeat that pounded against his eardrum and chest. Seeking support from the red cover, the maned wolf anxiously awaited the giant's arrival. The canine's predicament was made worse when he realised what he claimed.as his bedroom. His friend's new pair of trainers. Flint's imagination became a hurricane of thoughts, visualising the numerous styles of punishment that awaited him. Although his friend was gentle in nature, Flint had invaded the newly bought sneakers just for some extra sleep. Lost in thought, drowning in uncertainty, Flint remained oblivious to the shadow that smothered over the shoes. The tremors continued, but this time more frequently and louder. Like, a toe tap. In that realisation, Flint withdrew from his mind with a gulp and looked upwards.
There he was.
A snow-white wolf loomed above with both his ocean eyes curling down, locking onto the coffee brown wolf blankly. Those black leathered pads squishing the carpet fibres, whilst the right toe pounded up and down in quick succession. The eighty-three foot canine adorned little attire other than a white t-shirt that just barely covered his abs, and a pair of black boxers that gave full illustration to the curve behind. His physique was chiselled to perfection with each muscle prominent under the tight clothing. Except, what drew Flint's attention was the wolf's icy stare and his toned arms crossing to press against the white pecs.
"I CAN EXPLAIN!" Flint blurted out, rushing both palms defensively as he stood up, withdrawing from the blanket fortress. Still, Flint's pleas failed to remove the white wolf's blank stare above.
"Lupus? LUPUS IT IS NOT WHAT YOU TH-" The maned wolf tried to state his case, but Lupus was already crouching down to enact his judgement. Both blue eyes were frozen, locking onto Flint.
"Buddy, relax. I just need ya to get out of my trainers, alright?" Lupus cooed down, withdrawing his crossed arms to put both palms on his thighs. His expansive tail drooped between the wolf's muscular pillar legs.
"But but, its soooo comfy!" Flint replied with puppy eyes to Lupus. To the mane wolf's success it sparked a sympathetic smile from Lupus above.
"I hope so, it's meant to be great for running." A rumbling chuckle erupted from his toned chest, whilst a hand rubbed behind his neck. "Now, can you kindly climb out?"
Flint shook his head. Although his silent protest was shut down when Lupus' warm grin disappeared, replaced with something much more daunting. The shadow of that monolithic leather pad. It was a black saucer with a white fur coating that hovered over Flint, along with a wink from his flesing toe. The maned wolf strong constitution withered away at the sight, collapsing down in posture.
"L-Lupy? Lupy, you wouldn't?" Flint spoke past the looming sole, and to the barely visible canine visage in the sky.
"I will ask you once more, lil buddy. Come on, climb out," the wolf repeated with a nurturing tone, mixed with an authoritative undertone.
"Umm, n-no. Hah! I know you are just pranking me, sugar cube!"
It was not until the wolf's foot was lowered to block the exit that Flint realised he crossed the line. The scent emitting from the leather pad washed down to smother the startled canine inside.
"WAIT LUPY! L-LET'S TALK ABOUT THIS!" Flint called out, but his voice was cut off when his heel was planted on the insole.
The thick leather foot slid across the foam surface, compressing and wrinkling under its weight. As the insole compressed from contact, it sent the maned wolf tumbling down before Lupus' pad landed on top. Lower and lower the pad descended, squeezing and morphing around its captive, smothering him in the wolf's scent. Despite Lupus' applying his full weight, it was but a furry bean bag that protected Flint.
"Let's talk after my workout, alright lil guy?" The wolf insisted with a teasing tone, ensuring to emphasise the compassion behind.
Raising a sole the wolf started to stroll across the living room, continuing to re-apply pressure on Fling time and time again with each thump. His situation, his fate was decided by the 83 foot wolf. Yet, it was a destiny that the maned wolf held hope for.
