This is a well-finished piece, regardless of the simple, low-tier effigy. W.P.'s other work from the same time period run the gamut from simple to achingly beautiful. This is why he was the genesis of a gravestone dynasty.

I'd never heard of William Park before, but yes, he was a remarkable stonesmith.
Not only do I find gravestones fascinating historical artifacts, but works of art in themselves.
