Finalized design for the tsujin race, I might do a back view, too (to show off that awesome bu- [just kidding] ... armor plating design).


Actually just a "re-boot" of an old race I found in an old notebook of mine that was sadly forgotten.

I don't have much psudedo-science or biology info yet, but basically the tsujin are desert-dwellers. Their homeworld, Uvyn, is a massive, craggy, sandy mess with scattered canyons. Within these canyons, however, flora and fauna are able to flourish with relative ease due to the constant shade and atmospheric conditions.

The race as a general whole prefers a tepid environment, and breathes a mixture of gasses (large amounts of carbon dioxide) due to their evolution in the canyons. Tsujin can breathe in an atmosphere like ours for a while, but might feel light-headed. Long term exposure could lead to respiratory issues.


Interesting features-

-Six nostrils on the neck

-Armor plating, developed to sheild against the harsh sun, blustering sandstorms, and to protect against the massive predators of Uvyn.

-They pride themselves in their colorful feather plumage

-They have two jaws; however most of the time this goes unnoticed, as both mandibles are usually held together to make a "unified" bottom jaw. Jaws hanging open to reveal the two mandibles is usually a sign of rudeness, distaste in someone in their midst, or wanting to fight.

- He's not tiny; it's just internal! : D To protect, again, from the intense heat and raging sandstorms.

- They really like lemons. Sour, citrus-y tastes are their favorite. Don't ask.
