So it seems that John is concerned about Bill's approaching birthday. He is looking through a magazine for something, likely a birthday gift for Bill, but can't find what he is looking for. Hmmm....

But, Jack is willing to help! Good use of 'grimly' as a descriptor for John's mood when he speaks. We all know how smart Jack is, surely he can help elevate things? So indeed, they are trying to think of something to get Bill for his birthday, that he doesn't have enough of already.

John certainly has an eye for Bill's broad shoulders! Hell, who wouldn't? I love the arguing between John and Jack about what size Bill actually is. Hmm, I don't think John is a bad friend because he remembered at the last minute that it was Bill's birthday. Hell, he remembered at ALL, didn't he? It's the thought that counts!

Haha, it was humorous that Jack refers to Legoshi as "Lego" in a nickname. Hehehehe. It seems he has issues with finding presents for his best friend, as well. I do think that Jack has a romantic interest in Legoshi in the canon story, though it is shown somewhat subtly.

I found it hilarious that Jack uses the term 'Jesus' to express frustration, did they have a furry Jesus in whichever religions are in their world? Please enlighten me.

Whoa, whoa! Jack goes off the deep end pretty quick by using the 'rape yourself' sentence, seems like Jack has very little patience for burying oneself in the hallowed responsibility of remembering birthdays.

Haha, so it was Riz who has the correct suggestion all along, at least at this point in time. I'm sure John enjoyed that Hug from Riz.

So John is worried about becoming embarrassed in front of Bill? The plot thickens already... I sense even more romantic interest here...

Wow, Riz actually refers to John as 'baby'? Whew, I never saw that coming. Usually that term is used as a romantic indicator, perhaps Riz was just playing around.

When you describe the salesperson as a Danish Dane, did you mean to say a Great Dane?

Damn, of course Bill would buy a copy of his favorite manga the day it came out. Something like that for his birthday would be too obvious...!!

So really John and Riz get to spend way more time together than what we were expecting, John and Bill somehow meeting up and having an interaction somehow. It seems John is quite fond of Riz as well, drifting off to sleep and saying 'love you' before getting a free piggy back ride.

So Jack also calls John the 'baby' maybe it's just his nickname.

It's revealed that Bill is in fact John's best friend, no wonder he is so distraught about the birthday gift. Why not just take him out to dinner..? That sounds like fun.

And a great Hallmark Card ending to our little escapade! The greatest gift of all is friendship itself. Well played, Bill.
