Badge Commission from Astolpho back in Further Confusion 2011! Thank you again! (and apologies for taking this long to put it up as a proper scan!)
I have a lot of fondness for this beautiful watercolor creation from yesteryear. Though, no matter what I might say: I think the previous upload of this (taken with a phone camera in poor lighting) had the best story of how this came into existence. Wonder if I can find the artist again at a convention, some day?

I really hope I spelled that right.
In any case, this one has a story! While waiting in line for registration at FC, a conversation was struck up with the fine lady in front of me. The conversation started upon her remarking about a certain Mephis Keibin literally carrying me over the shoulder to the back of the line, and how we should procure a sign for the person at the end, just so others could feel a little better when they were able to hand off the sign down the line and so forth. Jokes, talking, and other fun were had until we found ourselves about two hallways from the actual registration table (which, you'd be surprised, was actually closer than you think in relative terms of where we started). It was about this time that she brought up that her husband did a webcomic. Which webcomic?
Dawn Chapel. Dawn, awesometastic, Chapel.
Me being an idiot, had the name fly over my terrible memory only to come crashing back to me once I saw the amazingly awesome Firefox Cookie comic. As more chatter was had, she mentioned that her husband was doing con badges, so I hurriedly signed up for one and gave her an invitation for the couple to join us for a certain Kitsune and Goat's engagement dinner.
Unfortunately, they were running a panel at the time of the dinner, but still, it was great to meet and chat with them both.
Unlike the other artists to whom I apologize profusely for being lazy and not putting up links, I do indeed have a link for Astalpho! Go read his awesomely amazing and beautifully watercolored webcomic at
www.dawnchapel.com
And much thanks for the awesomeness! I wish I could color like this with watercolors... instead I end up with what looks like a bad acid trip usually x.x
